What makes it PLG?

A company must offer transparent pricing
At least one of their pricing stages gave a price, even if the enterprise edition might say something like, contact sales.

A company must offer a freemium or trial product on their website
A user needs to be able to sign up and start using the product immediately without speaking to anyone first.

We combined the valuation of private companies with a number of excellent grading systems including CrunchBase Insights, PitchBook, and The Cloud 100.
